Relays · SDR-to-AE handoff

The prospect said yes. Book the AE before they hang up.

Relays lets SDRs book qualified prospects straight onto the right AE's calendar in two clicks, from the app, the Chrome extension, or your CRM. Matching rules honor ownership. Pods keep distribution fair. Every booking syncs back with full attribution.

What really sold us on RevenueHero is the excellent team and support we’ve had from implementation onward.

After RevenueHero, we've cut short the time it takes for us to give a demo to our prospects. We've been able to do it much more quicker and it's a better process for prospects as well.

With RevenueHero, I can actually have a shorter sales cycle at a really high level of complexity. It's like all the logic happens at the point of signup, which means that there are no problems for my sales team.

RevenueHero works really damn well. The percentage of qualified meetings that were getting booked on our website within the first 3 months of implementation was beyond our expectations.

The handoff gap

Qualified pipeline dies
between the SDR and the AE

The prospect already said yes. What kills the deal is everything that happens next:
the calendar juggling, the follow-up email, the wrong rep, the missing credit.
Your SDRs can't book the meeting
Most schedulers don't give SDRs a seat. So the handoff becomes a Slack ping: can I put them on your calendar? The hottest moment in the funnel runs on a favor.
The follow-up email graveyard
The call ends with "I'll send over some times." A prospect who said yes on the phone goes cold in an inbox, and the demo that was won on the call never lands on a calendar.
Cherry-picking decides comp
When SDRs choose which AE gets each meeting, favorites win and trust erodes. Distribution decides pocketbooks, and everyone can see the imbalance on the same dashboard.
The owner gets skipped
An existing account books a demo and the AE who owns the relationship never sees it. The record double-books, the CRM credit lands nowhere, and two reps fight over one meeting.
Relays fixes the handoff at the exact moment it happens: while the prospect is still saying yes.
How it works

From "yes" to booked in under five seconds

It all happens live, while the prospect is still on the call. The SDR never sees a calendar they shouldn't, and the AE never gets a meeting they shouldn't.
Start where the prospect already is
Open Relays from the Salesforce or HubSpot record, the email thread, or your sales engagement tool. The prospect comes with it. Relays checks your CRM live, so no duplicate records.
1
Pick who gets it
Assign to yourself, or relay to a colleague. Your matching rules and pods suggest the right assignee automatically.
2
Book it live
Pick a slot on the assignee's calendar while the prospect is on the line. Or share slots in an email, or send a relay link.
3
Everything syncs
Meeting, owner, booker attribution, and the form context the SDR captured. The AE walks in informed. Zero admin after the call.

Where reps book

Reps hand off from
wherever they already work

Adoption fails when booking lives in one more tab. Relays meets every rep inside the tool they already have open.
In the RevenueHero app
Hit Create Relay Meeting from anywhere in the app, tab through the questions, and book without touching the mouse.
In your CRM and sales tools
The Chrome extension puts Insert Slots and Book a Meeting inside the tools your team lives in, with a live link back to the CRM record.

With relay links
Every booker gets their own link per relay, so credit for the meeting travels with the link. Point a link at a specific team, or pre-fill the prospect's details for one-click booking. Some teams drop them in automatically from their CRM: it just books.
With slots in the email
Insert live time slots into a follow-up instead of a bare link. The prospect clicks a time and it books against your routing rules, not around them.
Tool by tool

The same handoff, inside each tool

No new tab, no copy-pasting an email address. The relay starts from the record, thread, or call page the rep already has open, with the prospect picked up automatically.

All details that come up on the call, captured

Relays can be set up to include optional forms the booker fills while still talking to the prospect. Information already in the CRM comes pre-filled, so the booker only adds what's new. Company size, use case, whatever matters for the conversation. Those answers route the prospect to the rep who should take it and follow the meeting to the invite, so the rep walks in already briefed. No cold start.

Every booker's link, one admin screen

Manage every relay link in one place: who books, which teams they assign to, and how each relay distributes. Credit travels with the link, so nothing depends on a rep remembering to log it.

Whichever surface the rep books from, the same rules decide who gets the meeting. Those rules are next.

Routing logic

The right AE, even when the SDR doesn't know who that is

Bookers don't memorize the territory map. Three layers of rules decide every assignment, in order, every time.

First · Relay Matching Rules
Ownership wins
The prospect's domain is looked up in your CRM across contacts, accounts, and leads, with exact and fuzzy matching. An existing owner keeps the meeting.
Then · Relay Distribution Pods
Rules pick the team
Unmatched prospects flow through pods in the order you set: by territory, segment, or any condition. Weight members so ramping reps take a lighter load.
Always · Relay Fallback Pods
Nothing drops
If no pod matches, the fallback catches it. Every handoff reaches a calendar, or gets disqualified on your terms. Never silently lost.
Strict
Strict queue order. Highest fairness, lowest no-show risk. Best for high volume with similar reps.
Flexible
More slots for the prospect to choose from, with near-equal distribution by rep availability. Assignment happens after the slot is chosen.
Balanced
Combined availability, adjusted based on workload. Meetings shift toward reps with fewer bookings, so load stays even across the team.

Worried about cherry-picking?

Whichever way the round robin runs, the meetings can't be steered to a favorite.

Complete blind assignment

In flexible and balanced round robin, bookers see the pod's combined availability, not individual calendars. They book a time or share slots without knowing which rep owns it, and the assignee is set the moment the meeting books. Bookers can’t pick their favourite assignee, because there's no name on screen.

Complete blind assignment
Create a Relay router

Lock the round robin

In strict round robin, the meeting goes to whoever's up next. Lock it per relay so bookers can't jump the queue, or allow overrides and log everything.

Every relay, on one screen

Each relay shows its bookers, its pods, its matching rules, and its meetings booked over the last 28 days. Clone one to spin up the next team's handoff in minutes.

On the record

Every handoff, logged.
Every credit, attributed.

Handoffs create the messiest attribution questions in the funnel: who sourced it, who booked it, who held it. Relays answers all three, in your CRM and in the log.

Booker attribution in your CRM
Write the booker to a CRM field on every relay meeting, so SDR sourcing credit survives the handoff and comp reviews stop being arguments.
Routing logs with override trails
Every session records the match result, the pod evaluated, the suggested assignee, and the chosen one. If a booker overrides the suggestion, the log says so.
Distribution reports, both sides
Meetings by assignee and by booker, with tabs for upcoming, completed, cancelled, and no-shows. See who books, who holds, and who ghosts.
More than one handoff

Any team-to-team handoff,
one motion

SDR to AE is the headline act. The same relay machinery runs every handoff in your customer journey.

Teams that run their handoffs on Relays

We don't just have one sales and SDR team. Our teams are split between regions, use cases, and inbound/outbound functions. And it's really important that we get the right meetings to the right people at the right times. We've been taking complete advantage of Relays. It's got to be our favorite feature so far

Jonathan Pogact
VP of Marketing

We struggled with other calendar applications as they didn't honor record assignments over finding open/available calendar blocks. RevenueHero understands that often your Sales Team has worked hard in developing a relationship with a Contact.

Todd Merrill
RevOps Manager

We started using RevenueHero for inbound routing and scheduling, then rolled it out to the rest of our SDRs and AEs for outbound handoffs and scheduling.

Mark Huber
VP of Marketing

There's a solution for everything in RevenueHero when managing large sales teams with a meeting handoff needs. The interface is clean and easy to understand. But most of all, support is really outstanding. They are here everytime you need it from onboarding to consolidating the tool in your organization. Brilliant.

What evaluators ask us about Relays

Who can book a relay meeting?
You choose the bookers per relay: a whole team or selected members. SDRs, BDRs, AEs, or CS. Bookers can assign a meeting to themselves or relay it to a colleague, and you control which.
Can SDRs cherry-pick which AE gets the meeting?
Only if you let them. Lock the round robin and bookers book whoever is up next without choosing from a list. If you allow overrides, every change is logged: the suggested assignee, the chosen assignee, and who made the change.
Can I cancel my subscription?
What if the prospect already has an owner in our CRM?
Relay Matching Rules look up the prospect's domain across contacts, accounts, and leads, with exact and fuzzy matching. The existing owner gets the meeting, and the CRM owner field can update automatically.
Can I change plans mid-year?

How long is the free trial?
We offer a commitment-free trial period of 14 days.
What if no rule matches the prospect?
The fallback pod catches them, so no handoff is silently dropped. Prefer to gate instead? Enable disqualification and prospects that match no rule and no pod are disqualified rather than booked
What does the prospect experience?
If the SDR books live on the call, the prospect just receives the invite. If the SDR shares slots or a relay link, the prospect clicks one time and it books. Either way they never fill another form to get a calendar.

Whose calendar does the invite come from?
Your call. Set the organizer to the assignee or the booker per relay, choose whether the booker joins the invite, and auto-accept events booked on behalf of prospects.
What syncs to our CRM?
Contact creation or update with your field mappings, owner assignment, the meeting as an activity, the booker written to a field of your choice, and the form context the SDR captured. Works natively with Salesforce and HubSpot

How fast can SDRs actually book?
Two clicks, under five seconds end to end. From a CRM record or an email thread the prospect is already picked up; in the app, reps just type the email. The questions tab through without the mouse, and personal defaults like a preferred relay and timezone shave it further.
